Through the CMI, it provides grant funding and offers events that propagate the knowledge gained through its research out to stakeholders throughout Canada.

The Faculty of Law also offers graduate fellowships in Capital Markets Research, as part of the CMI's work. These fellowship awards can be up to $18,000, and help students who are interested in regulations and law in areas relating to capital markets, including financial institutions, securities, and corporate governance. Students who receive Faculty of Law fellowships in this area can serve as Student Scholars with the Capital Markets Institute.
